The Housing Commissioner said that the completely ruined buildings are to be completely rebuilt to bring forth an entirely new structure, pointing out that experts from the ministry had been working on the new structural design to produce a new structure between now and the end of the year.

Asked what his impression was on the extent of ruination of the High Court edifice, Justice Umukoro said it was better imagine what his impression would be. “It has set the judiciary terribly back; all the court documents were burnt,” he said. The implication is that no court record could be salvaged.
