Late Rt. Hon. Sam Obi
One time acting governor of Delta state, Rt. Hon. Sam Obi is dead.
Competent sources told banneronlinenews.com that, obi, a one-time Speaker of the State House of Assembly died in his sleep. “He slept and never woke up,” the source said.
Late Rt. Hon. Sam Obi represented the Ika North East State Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly for three terms (2003-2015). He was acting governor in 2010 after a court nullified the 2007 election of former governor Emmanuel Uduaghan and ordered a rerun.
Until his death, Sam Obi was the General Overseer of Oracle of God Ministry, Asaba and proprietor of Royent Academy, DBS Road, Asaba.
