The Olu of Warri, his Royal Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III said that
visits between members of different ethnic groups, especially their
leaders, would help unify the country.
He said this while welcoming the Emir of Zazzau (Zaria) His Royal Majesty, Amb. Ahmed Nuhu Baalli to his home in Warri, Delta state, on Thursday, November 30th, 2023.
The Olu said he was especially happy to play host to such a rare
visitor to Delta State, because such visits between other highly
regarded monarchs have not been common. He said that Nigeria would
profit when such visits among both the leaders and the ordinary
citizens become commonplace because such visits would help Nigerians
to further understand and appreciate members of the other ethnic
groups. The understanding gained from such visits, he said, would help
make Nigeria a more peaceful and more united country as people would
appreciate the unity in diversity among the members of Nigeria’s
various ethnic groups.
