PERSPECTIVE – The puppet in Aso Rock: How America is playing pranks on Nigeria

AGENT BOLA TINUBU: Finally, Nigerians know that it’s  a puppet in Aso Rock; a spook even. Now it’s clear to Nigerians that America and her allies are playing pranks on Nigeria; that they are actually leading the shambolic giant called Nigeria to the slaughter. They want to sink this ship!

If anyone had a doubt,  it is clear beyond doubt now that Nigeria’s sitting President,  Bola Tinubu is a SIGNIFICANT AGENT of the American intelligence establishment.

It all came to the fore last week right before  a United States Court in the District of Columbia. In the court,  the three most powerful intelligence behemoth in the US, jointly, openly and formally resisted a FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FoIA) request for total disclosure of President Bola Tinubu’s drug conviction affairs in the US.

The three bodies vehemently blocking release of information on Tinubu are the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA). A  memorandum to the court, written jointly by these three bodies, states clearly that sitting Nigeria’s president is an active source and collaborator who can be compromised by the full disclosure of his past activities.

The CIA says about President Tinubu: “…confirming or denying the existence of records on any particular national, like Tinubu, reasonably could be expected to cause damage to US national security by indicating whether the CIA maintained any human intelligence sources related to Tinubu and identifying any  access or lack of access any such source had to intelligence concerning him.”

The DEA was unequivocal and blunt in its opposition: “We oppose full, unredacted (uncensored) disclosure of the DEA’s Bola Tinubu heroin trafficking investigation records because we believe that while Nigerians have a right to be informed about what their government is up to,  they do not have a right to know what their president is up to.”

All this revelation is thanks to the epic investigative journalistic works of David Hundeyin of West Africa Weekly (WAW), and Aaron Greenspan of Plainsite. They have pursued Tinubu’s peculiar mess – a complicated mesh of identity swap, certificate forgery and drug dealings. This Tinubu conundrum must have  a place in the book of records for the most infamy in leadership in modern times.

That the man is strapped with heavy baggage is enough burden. That he’s in bed with the CIA, DEA and FBI, is blood-cuddling and indeed,  surreal.

And now, to openly claim in court that Nigerians have no right to know what our parody of a president is up to (even if he hauls plane-loads of hard drugs with the Presidential jet) presents yet another dimension to Nigeria’s perverted presidency.

Recall that FBI Director, Christopher Wray came visiting Aso Rock recently, even as the matter was in court. Remember that a disclosure of Tinubu’s criminal past may have cost Tinubu the seat at the election tribunal because no court would uphold a certified outlaw as president!

WEEP NOT NIGERIA! Now that you know  for sure that  the man in your Presidential Villa is a stooge, what are you gonna do? In most countries, he won’t stay another day on that exalted seat. In earlier days, the president would have fallen on his sword immediately this grievous information filters out.  But here, it is business as usual. Life simply goes on. If forgeries and falsifications and drug dealings couldn’t stop a man from ascending to the presidency, being a CIA mole should actually be a plus, not a minus.

Weep not Nigeria! There are no institutions left here: no legislature,  no judiciary,  no civil society,  no media, to insist that THIS PRESIDENT MUST GO!

AMERICA HAVING A FIELD DAY: America and her European allies are actually having a field day in this unmanned territory called Nigeria. America had always believed this contraption would come unstuck for quite some time. In her “future mapping” report about 20 years ago, she had predicted with relish that the doomsday would happen in 2015! (Never mind their denials). Have you wondered how and why terrorism suddenly broke out in Nigeria since 2009 and bloody banditry followed in 2014?

Both the Boko Haram of the Northeast and the bandits of the Northwest and ISWAS in the mix, have deployed sophisticated military arsenal as well as tactical and strategic military prowess far beyond the keel of these rag tag bush battalions.

At their peak, the bandits downed NAF jets and BH seized hundreds of school children in a convoy of buses and trucks fitted with rocket-propelled granades (RPGs).

When BH overwhelmed Nigeria in 2014 and hauled 276 Chibok school girls in one night, U.S. and NATO military teams arrived Nigeria in droves, moved into the zone and mapped the area. They promised all sorts of support but till today, 10 years after, zilch. Over 100 of the hapless girls never came back even as you read this.

U.S. BLIND EYE IN THE SKY: Is there any heavy arms movement in any corner of the world that the U.S. and allies can’t track? Has the U.S. not hit human targets in far-flung places like  Afghanistan, Iran and Lebanon with long range missiles?

In October 2020, the world watched in bewilderment as America displayed her might and prowess when she enacted a special operation to rescue ONE, SINGLE American citizen in northern Nigeria, near the borders with Niger Republic.

American elite Special Forces,  SEALs Team 6 were flown in over 3200 km, inserted into the area via parachute, whereupon they walked 5km to scene of operation.

Phillip Walton was successful rescued and flown out back to the U.S. with six out of seven hostages killed.

If  America could do this for one citizen,  she could have done more than wring her hands over the Chibok girls. The poor little women still languish in the wilds.

America could do more for Nigeria to extirpate and completely neutralise in a few months, the petit terrorists of northern Nigeria.  America did practically nothing 15 years on. Over 500,000  Nigerians have been killed in  this period, more than half of them children. About 2.5 million were displaced and Nigeria is home to the highest number of displaced people’s camps in the world. Nigeria’s IDPs are probably the worst human tragedy of this age, for a country technically not at war.

THE NIGERIA BAZAAR: In this unspeakable human misery, America and her friends don’t seem to give a damn. Nigeria is of no serious strategic importance to  America. Well, unless of course they need virgin real estate.  Whether she fails or thrives is neither hear nor there for America. Meanwhile,  the Africa Defence Forces are in place to ensure no other  powers go out of step in Nigeria.

They also maintain enough stability to ensure the IOCs take enough oil out of Nigeria unhindered, unchecked. Shell, Chevron,  Mobil,  Total and Agip, to name a few.

The story of OML 245 exemplifies the story. It is touted to hold perhaps, the largest oil and gas reserve in Africa today. Shell and Agip/Eni would rather invoke a 3rd World War than to allow OML 245 to slip through their fingers. They acquired it by a sleight of hand from the son of former military dictator, General Sani Abacha, who stole the oil block from Nigeria in connivance with a certain Dan Etete, Abacha oil minister.

On account of OML 245, Shell was willing to destroy Nigeria with unmitigated bribery running into billions of dollars. It was within earshot of doing so. A former President and his cabinet  were treated to a bazaar of bribery by shameless Shell.  Yet, it’s not done yet. The current leadership is easy meat for Shell. One would be surprised if there’s no sweetheart deal already foreclosed.  OML 245 is too irresistible. But let it be put on record that it remains Nigeria’s premium sovereign asset and must he reclaimed from rogues, someday. OML 245 is a perfect signpost of the relationship between America and friends.

Britain, France, Germany and U.S have ceased making serious investments in, or positive economic impact on Nigeria. But for China and her Belt and Rail, Nigeria’s would be a most sorry situation today.

ENDGAME: Now that America has her lackey in Aso Rock, what’s gonna happen next? Expresso opines that since Agent Bola is aged, ailing and totally lacks any capacity whatsoever to lead Nigeria, he may have to be eased out by his friends on or before due date 2027. But it will depend on how well he can manage to hold down the cow while they milk it. It doesn’t seem like quite a long time, this place is failing rapidly.
