Eid-ul-Maulud: Oborevwori greets Muslims, urges unity, peace

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended warm greetings to Muslims in Delta State and across Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Eid-ul-Mawlid, commemorating the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.

In a goodwill message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor urged Muslims to use the celebration as a moment of reflection on the noble virtues of the Prophet, which highlight peace, love, humility, tolerance, and service to humanity.

Oborevwori stressed that Nigeria’s quest for unity and cohesion requires citizens of all faiths to embrace these values in order to foster progress and stability. He particularly applauded the Muslim community in Delta for their consistent role in promoting harmony, growth, and peaceful coexistence in the state.

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to policies that encourage inclusiveness, mutual respect, and religious harmony.

“As we mark this significant occasion, let us remember that our diversity is our strength, and by working together we can build a more peaceful and prosperous Delta and Nigeria,” he said.

Governor Oborevwori wished Muslims a joyful, peaceful, and hitch-free Eid-ul-Mawlid celebration.
