The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended four national officers for one month and referred them to the party’s National Disciplinary Committee.
Those suspended at the NWC’s 608th meeting held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, are:
- National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu
- National Organizing Secretary, Hon. Umar Bature
- National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade, SAN
- Deputy National Legal Adviser, Barr. Okechukwu Osuoha
The affected officers are barred from performing their official duties throughout the suspension period.
In line with Section 36(2) of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017), the Deputy National Secretary, Hon. Arc. Setonji Koshoedo, will serve as Acting National Secretary.
Similarly, the party has directed the National Director of Legal Services to take charge of the legal department pending the outcome of disciplinary proceedings against the National Legal Adviser and Deputy National Legal Adviser.
