Ukah defends DSCTDA’s 2026 Budget, presents 2025 performance to Delta Assembly

Director-General of the Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency (DSCTDA), Mr. Patrick Ukah, has appeared before the Delta State House of Assembly to present the Agency’s 2025 Budget Performance Report and defend its 2026 budget estimates.

Ukah, who led a team of senior officials of the Agency, made the presentation during an interactive session with the House Committee on the Capital Territory Development Agency. The engagement reviewed the Agency’s financial performance, project execution, and priorities for the year ahead.

In his briefing, the DG outlined key achievements recorded in the 2025 fiscal year, citing notable progress in urban renewal projects, infrastructure upgrades, environmental enhancements, and other interventions aimed at improving the aesthetics and efficiency of the state capital territory.

Lawmakers scrutinised the Agency’s expenditure pattern, budget implementation rate, and the status of ongoing and completed projects. They also assessed the extent to which DSCTDA’s programmes align with the broader development agenda of the state government.

Defending the 2026 budget proposal, Ukah underscored the importance of sustained funding to consolidate existing work, tackle emerging developmental needs, and deliver critical projects within scheduled timelines.

He assured the Committee of the Agency’s continued commitment to transparency, accountability, and prudent management of public funds, adding that the 2026 budget framework is structured to enhance service delivery and fast-track development across the capital territory.
