In a hopeful New Year address, former House of Representatives Minority Leader, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, has called on Nigerians to embrace unity, faith, and optimism as the nation steps into 2026.

Elumelu, in his message on January 1, expressed gratitude for the nation’s resilience through the past year’s challenges. He framed the New Year as a moment for renewed collective confidence, projecting that 2026 would bring greater prosperity and sustained development.

“National growth and personal success are best achieved when God is at the center of our affairs,” Elumelu stated, urging families and communities to remain prayerful and uphold values that foster peace and progress.

The former legislator extended special appreciation to his constituents in Aniocha/Oshimili, reaffirming his commitment to partnering with them for improved livelihoods, expanded opportunities, and sustainable community development.

Turning to national and state leadership, Elumelu commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration for its “determination and vision” in repositioning the economy. He urged continued public support for the President’s Renewed Hope agenda, asserting that the government’s reforms are yielding positive economic results.

He also lauded Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, for what he described as a people-focused and confident leadership style, which he said inspires hope across the state.

Concluding his message, Elumelu reiterated his dedication to public service, expressing confidence that through faith, unity, and shared effort, Nigeria would continue advancing on a path of growth and transformation.
