ASABA, DELTA STATE – Commissioner for Works and Public Information Charles Aniagwu has hailed retiring Functioning Permanent Secretary Harold Ojji as a rare public servant of integrity, wisdom, and selfless dedication.
Speaking at Ojji’s send-forth ceremony, Aniagwu said their professional relationship began during the Uduaghan administration and deepened when both served at the Government House. He credited Ojji as a stabilizing force and key asset to the ministry.
“He possesses uncommon wisdom, emotional intelligence, and teamwork,” Aniagwu stated, adding that Ojji’s retirement “does not diminish his relevance” and that his mentorship would still be needed.

The event was attended by senior government officials and media stakeholders who praised Ojji’s 33-year career. In response, Ojji expressed gratitude and pledged continued support to the ministry.
Ojji retired following a redeployment policy initiated by Aniagwu to harness senior officers’ experience at the ministry level.
