Delta in safe, capable hands, says Obi Cubana; hails Oborevwori, vows December 2026 delivery of Millennium City

Chairman of the Cubana Group and renowned entrepreneur, Chief Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, has showered glowing praise on Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State describing his leadership as God-fearing, people-focused and development-driven, and declaring that Delta State is “in very good hands” under his watch.

Iyiegbu gave the commendation during a courtesy visit to Government House, Asaba, where he was accompanied by the Founder of Streams of Joy International, Pastor Jerry Eze. The cleric was in the state to dedicate the Cubana Millennium City project to God, underscoring the growing collaboration between private investors and the Delta State Government in driving urban renewal and investment.

Taking to his verified Facebook page after the visit, Obi Cubana lauded Governor Oborevwori’s leadership style and commitment to development.

“When the righteous is on the throne, the state rejoices! Delta State is indeed blessed to have a God-fearing and development-oriented Governor. Delta State is in very good hands,” he wrote.

He also commended the governor’s accessibility and openness to investors, adding:

“Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Executive Governor of Delta State, thanks for access always! We are bringing magic to Delta State.”

Speaking on the Cubana Millennium City Asaba project, Iyiegbu described it as a flagship development, aptly branded “The Jewel on the Niger,” and reaffirmed the Cubana Group’s commitment to delivering world-class infrastructure.

He assured prospective homeowners and investors that the first phase of the estate would be completed and ready for occupation by December 2026.

Cubana Millennium City Asaba is a premium mixed-use development designed to boost Asaba’s profile as a rapidly expanding urban and investment destination. The project aligns with Governor Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda, which prioritises accelerated development, economic growth and an improved quality of life for Deltans.
