The Commissioner for Special Duties, Government House, Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza has expressed deep sorrow over the news of the passing of former Deputy Governor, Chief B. S.C. Elue, describing his death as a painful loss to the state and the nation.

Osuoza said Chief Elue was a distinguished statesman whose life of service was defined by dedication, integrity and an unyielding commitment to the unity and progress of Delta State, noting that the late former Deputy Governor carried the burdens of leadership with wisdom, calm strength and a profound sense of responsibility, adding that his tenure in public office reflected a lifelong devotion to the common good.

He expressed heartfelt condolences to the Elue family, urging them to draw comfort from the enduring legacy of honour, service and impactful leadership left behind by the late elder statesman.

“Delta State has lost a patriot. Nigeria has lost a servant-leader,” the Commissioner said, praying that God grants the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and grants the departed eternal rest.

Dr. Osuoza added that Chief Elue’s memory would remain a blessing to the state and all who were touched by his exemplary life of service.
