Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians in Delta State and across Nigeria, calling on them to remain steadfast in their faith and committed to the teachings of Jesus Christ.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor described Easter as a season of hope, sacrifice, and renewal, highlighting the triumph of light over darkness and life over death through the resurrection of Christ.
He urged Christians to reflect on and emulate the virtues of love, humility, perseverance, and selflessness demonstrated by Jesus Christ, noting that these values are vital for fostering unity, peace, and sustainable development in society.
“This sacred season reminds us of the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ, His triumphant resurrection, and the eternal hope it brings to humanity,” the governor said.
“As we commemorate the resurrection of our Lord, let us also renew our commitment to building a state and a nation where peace, justice, and brotherhood prevail.
“May the joy and hope of Easter fill your hearts and homes. Let us pray for continued peace, prosperity, and divine guidance for our beloved state and our great nation, Nigeria.
“I urge you all to celebrate responsibly, cherish moments with your loved ones, and extend kindness to those in need. Together, let us build a brighter and more prosperous future for all.”
Governor Oborevwori also reassured Deltans of his administration’s unwavering commitment to improving living standards and ensuring a better quality of life for all residents.
