Delta councillor, ‘Mr Due Process’ clears APC screening for Reps race, sets sights on National Assembly

The political ambition of Mr. Victor Chukwuemeke, popularly known as “Mr. Due Process,” received a major lift after he successfully scaled the screening exercise of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Chukwuemeke, currently serving as Councillor representing Ward 7 in Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State, is seeking to represent the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, a move that has continued to generate growing political attention across Delta North.

The councillor-turned-lawmaker hopeful was screened alongside other APC aspirants seeking various elective offices under the party’s platform.

His successful screening is being viewed by political observers as a significant milestone in what supporters describe as a rare grassroots political rise from local government legislative service to the National Assembly.

Widely known by his nickname, “Mr. Due Process,” Chukwuemeke has built a reputation around accountability, transparency and grassroots engagement, qualities many of his supporters say distinguish him within the political landscape of the constituency.

Speaking after the screening exercise, the APC aspirant expressed confidence in the process and reaffirmed his commitment to providing purposeful representation and responsive leadership for the people of Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency.

He described the successful screening as another important step in his journey toward the 2027 elections, while pledging to sustain consultations and engagement with stakeholders, party faithful and community leaders across the constituency.

Supporters of the aspirant hailed the development as a victory for grassroots democracy within the APC, insisting that his emergence would strengthen the voice of youths, local communities and underserved areas seeking effective representation at the federal level.

The development is already fueling conversations within political circles in Delta State, with many closely watching what could become one of the most closely followed House of Representatives contests in Delta North ahead of 2027.
