As Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori turned 63, the man who leads the state’s legislative chamber didn’t just offer a routine birthday greeting, he delivered a resounding political endorsement.
Speaker Emomotimi Guwor, who also chairs Nigeria’s Conference of Speakers, released a message on Thursday praising the Governor as the “Pride of Delta,” crediting his leadership with accelerating development and restoring confidence across the oil-rich state.
Guwor highlighted the administration’s flagship “MORE Agenda,” pointing to major strides in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and youth empowerment as proof that the Governor’s vision is delivering tangible prosperity.
“The 8th Delta Assembly is proud to partner with this administration,” Guwor stated, emphasizing that the legislature stands firmly behind Oborevwori’s push for good governance and democratic depth.
But beyond the politics, the Speaker’s message carried a personal warmth, praying for the Governor’s strength and sound health. He closed with a clear message from the entire Assembly: “Many happy returns of the day, Your Excellency, we celebrate you as the driving force of the Delta dream.”
