The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Aniocha North Constituency I in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Engr. Fidel Onwodi, has unveiled a seven-pillar legislative manifesto outlining his proposed priorities for people-centred representation, infrastructure development, security, inclusive governance and economic empowerment.
Onwodi presented the manifesto, tagged “Fidel PROMISES More Gains with Renewed Hope,” during a press briefing at his country home in Issele-Mkpitime, Aniocha North Local Government Area, where he outlined his vision for responsive leadership and sustainable development across the constituency.

The manifesto is structured around the acronym P.R.O.M.I.S.E., representing People-Oriented Representation; Realistic Goals and Renewal of Public Trust; Open Door Policy; Modernisation of Community Infrastructure and Development; Inclusive Policies for All Constituents; Security, Stability and Social Welfare; and Empowerment through Education and Enterprise.
The APC candidate said the framework was designed to align his proposed legislative priorities with the MORE Agenda of Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, the MORE GAINS agenda of Aniocha North Local Government Chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Bazim Chinye, and President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
On the people-oriented representation pillar, Onwodi pledged regular consultations with traditional rulers, youth organisations, women, farmers, professionals and community leaders to ensure that their concerns and aspirations informed his legislative activities.

He said he would promote town hall meetings, maintain an accessible constituency office and engage stakeholders regularly to strengthen communication between elected representatives and the electorate.
Onwodi said restoring public trust would require honesty, transparency, accountability and measurable results, adding that his engineering background would inform his pursuit of practical and achievable development priorities.
He also promised to advocate projects with demonstrable benefits and exercise effective legislative oversight to ensure that public resources and government interventions delivered value to the people.

Under the Open Door Policy, the candidate pledged to establish accessible communication channels, maintain a functional constituency liaison office and undertake regular community visits to enable residents to present their concerns, ideas and expectations.
On infrastructure, Onwodi identified roads, healthcare facilities, schools, water supply, electricity and digital connectivity as essential to improving living standards and stimulating economic activities.
He promised to deploy his technical knowledge and legislative position to advocate sustainable infrastructure projects, strengthen development partnerships and promote equitable distribution of facilities across the communities in Aniocha North Constituency I.
According to him, improved infrastructure would enhance access to essential services while creating opportunities for commerce, education, employment and social development.
On inclusive governance, the APC candidate pledged to advocate fair representation for every ward and promote opportunities for young people, women, farmers, artisans, persons with disabilities and small business owners.
He maintained that development planning and legislative deliberations should take account of the interests of all constituents, irrespective of age, gender, background or social standing.
On security and social welfare, Onwodi promised to support stronger collaboration among security agencies, traditional institutions, community leaders and residents to improve community safety and prevent conflicts.
He also pledged to advocate peace-building initiatives, constructive youth engagement and welfare interventions for vulnerable members of society, stressing that addressing the needs of disadvantaged groups would contribute to more stable communities.
The seventh pillar, Empowerment through Education and Enterprise, focuses on skills acquisition, vocational training, information and communication technology education, digital literacy, entrepreneurship and support for small businesses.
Onwodi said he would advocate expanded educational and employment opportunities, particularly for young people and women, while promoting partnerships to support innovation, job creation and enterprise development.
“Empowering individuals to build sustainable livelihoods would help reduce economic vulnerability and strengthen the constituency’s long-term development prospects,” he said.

The candidate said the P.R.O.M.I.S.E. framework was intended to provide a clear direction for his proposed representation, with emphasis on accessibility, accountability, equitable development and economic opportunities.
He commended Governor Oborevwori and Chinye for their respective commitments to the development of Delta State and Aniocha North Local Government Area.
Onwodi also praised the leadership of former Delta State Governor and APC Delta North Senatorial candidate, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, and former House of Representatives Minority Leader and APC candidate for Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu.
He called on the people of Aniocha North to support the APC across all levels in the forthcoming general elections, emphasising party unity and a coordinated campaign strategy.
According to him, political mobilisation should focus on the party rather than individual candidates because the APC is the platform through which its candidates would seek electoral victory.
Onwodi expressed confidence that sustained engagement with constituents and a clearly articulated development agenda would strengthen the party’s campaign while advancing the interests of the constituency.
The manifesto unveiling marks the candidate’s presentation of a policy framework through which he hopes to translate his proposed priorities on representation, accountability, infrastructure and economic empowerment into tangible benefits for the people of Aniocha North Constituency I.
