APC LG Congress: Emerhor speaks of peaceful congress across Delta

The All Progressives Congress (APC) local government congress held across Delta State, has been adjudged peaceful across the state.

The leader of the party in the state, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor stated that following agreement reached by the party’s stakeholders, they harmonised and came up with unity list to avert fresh squabble.

Speaking at the venue of the congress at the party’s Secretariat at Ughelli, Emerhor said: “We held a peaceful congress and the reason we had a peaceful congress is that Ughelli North had a unity list that covers all interests. We reconciled ourselves and we came here just to do affirmation and that is what l understand happened across the state.

“You remember l led about seven governorship aspirants that came together and we agreed to work together in each of the local government areas so that we don’t fight ourselves. We came up with a list that covers everybody’s interest so that we can do a peaceful congress and that is what you have seen today.

Congresses, as long as they cover the interest of the people, generate trust and peace. That is why from Delta North to Delta South everything has gone very well,” he added.
