The Onicha-Ugbo and Issele-Uku communities of Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State have been thrown into grief and mourning following the sudden death of Dr. Andy Odozi  from the dastardly attack on him by persons suspected to be Fulani herdsmen.

A notable medical Doctor and proprietor of Goodnews Hospital, Issele-Uku, the amiable Dr. hailed from Onicha-Ugbo.

Sources told banneronlinenews.com that he was shot in an ambush by suspected Fulani herdsmen on the Issele-Uku-Onisha-Ugbo Expressway on Tuesday, May 14, 2019. He succumbed to death arising from the gunshot injuries on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba.

It was learnt that the FMC lacked the CT Scanning machine, and so could not detect where all the bullets pumped into Odozi were lodged. When he was finally taken to a private clinic in Onitsha, Anambra State, his situation, sources said had become complicated and beyond what medical hands could manage. He died thereafter.
