Former member of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, has congratulated the Governor of Delta State, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, for the reception of honour held for him by his people of the Anioma nation, who occupy the Delta North Senetorial District of the state.
Elumelu in the message said Governor Okowa, by all standards, deserved such an honour from his people, pointing out that as a leader, he has continued to be a humble, resilient, empathic and selfless personality that has the development and unity of the Anioma nation and the entire Delta State at heart.
The politician and astute businessman, who represented Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency for two meritorious terms in the House of Reps, affirmed that under the leadership of Dr. Okowa, Delta State has continued to experience peace, leading to giant developmental strides in every sector of the economy of the state, even as he commended the governor’s passion in ensuring that every senatorial district is being carried along in the implementation of his Prosperity for all Deltans Mantra.
Elumelu, is particularly happy with the transformation presently going on in Asaba, the Capital of Delta State affirming that it is only a Governor with political will and strong determination to make a difference that could embark on such developmental projects that have directly impacted positively on the lives and needs of the generality of the people of the State, stressing that the Asaba Flood Control project when completed, will remain the best thing to have happened to the state capital.
“Even in times of distress and recession, the Governor has remained steadfast and focused. I see him as a man sent by God for the mission of taking the State to an enviable place, and I know without doubt that God is with him. It is only a Man with God’s guidance that can perform without stress the way the Governor is performing,” Elumelu noted.
He equally applauded the people of Delta North for coming together as one to honour the Governor, who he described as a symbol of peace and unity, adding that the event is a great proof that the Senatorial district remains highly united in recognizing the obvious, that Governor Okowa is working.
“We will continue to work as a family to ensure that our share in the Delta State project is not compromised, we will continue to ensure that the Governor remains in office beyond 2019 to continue with his mission of uniting the State through his developmental agenda geared towards prosperity,” Elumelu stated..
