Anioma State creation: Monarchs, women, youth groups, stakeholders give nod 

 

At a well attended event on Saturday, September 31, 2024, at Grand Hotel, Asaba, the people and monarchs of Anioma nation gave their nods and approval for the creation of Anioma State.

The event tagged Anioma Stakeholders’ Summit – Renewal Quest for the Creation of Anioma State was organised by the Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District in the Senate, Prince Ned Nwoko the stakeholders that included monarchs, politicians, women and youth groups passed a vote of confidence in Senator Nwoko and appreciated him for leading the renewed campaign for the creation of Anioma State.

A monarch from Ndokwa nation said the entire Ndokwa nation is in total support of the creation of Anioma State. The monarch of Ubulu-Unor spoke in the same vein, applauded and commended Senator Nwoko for his doggedness in pursuing the Anioma cause.

The Agbor monarch, Dein Benjamin  Ikenchukwu thanked everyone who attended the event and for expressing support for the creation of Anioma State. He urged for relentless support for Senator Nwoko’s initiative for the creation of Anioma State.

Majority Leader of Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Emeka Nwaobi said: ” We are all here because we want Anioma State. So we are fully in support and by the grace of God we shall give it the required approval of support when it comes to the House of Assembly.

Prof Juli Nwagbogor Umukoro of the Anioma Women Forum called for the support of all for the Anioma State creation project, pointing out that it’s a noble cause that will bring development to Anioma land.

Highlight of the event which was a carnival like occasion because of the presence of cultural groups that rendered the evergreen and sweet Anioma songs and dances, was the establishment of a technical committee that will work with Senator Nwoko and meet regularly in pursuit of the realisation of Anioma State creation.
