The Chairman Media and Publicity Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2023 General Elections in Delta State, Prince Emman Amgbaduba has called on chieftains of the party to exercise restraint over demands for appointment.
Amgbaduba who is immediate past Commissioner for Oil and Gas said that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori was taking his time to assemble men and women of impeccable character and unimpeachable integrity to assist him in delivering on his M.O.R.E Agenda.
In a statement on Sunday, Amgbaduba restated that Gov. Oborevwori knows the competence, capacity and contributions of party faithful to his election and would do everything to put smiles on the faces of the people.
Amgbaduba who was former Chairman PDP Delta South, however cautioned against moves by some persons in certain quarters to use emotional blackmail on the Governor and urged them to desist from making utterances that could cause disaffection among party faithful in the state.
“I want to appeal to all stakeholders of our party in the state to remain calm and patient as our dear Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori takes his time to select people to assist him in running his administration.
“It is also important to state that government cannot appoint everybody who worked for its emergence but there are other several ways the government can reach out to party faithful.
“So my appeal really is that let us remain patient as our dear Governor settles into governance proper. At the moment he is arranging the building blocks for his M.O.R.E Agenda aimed at advancing our dear Delta State.
“Let us give him all the support that he needs at this moment,” Amgbaduba stated.
