Bishop at Anenih’s funeral to politicians: Fear God, stop dirty politics, Nigerians tired of hearing rubbish from politicians

Nigerian politicians have accused of playing the politics of mudslinging instead of telling Nigerians what they can do to make their lives better.

Most Rev. Donatus Ogun made the submission today, December 1, 2018 at St. Anthony Catholic Cathedral, Uromi at a funeral mass that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State joined others that included former President Goodluck Jonathan, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Vice Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi to bid the renowned politician, Chief Tony Anenih final good-bye.

Also at the funeral mass were Chief James Ibori, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, Governors Godwin Obaseki, Seriake Dickson, Comrade Adams Oshiomole, Senator Patrick Osakwe, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, among numerous personalities.

Rev. Ogun told the politicians that Nigerians are tired of dirty politics and that as the 2019 general elections approach they should tell Nigerians what they can do to make their lives better.

He said: “Nigerians want hope, they want to be told what the candidates will do to make their lives better, they are tired of hearing rubbish from politicians.
“Learn to go to church and have the fear of God; always know that there is a God who is ready to forgive when you come back to Him.
“Be generous, if you cannot spend what you can die and leave behind, how do you expect God to assist you? Heaven is real and we must work hard to enter heaven,” he said, noting that the late Tony Anenih was like a colossus.
