In a bid to ensure that sickle cell clinics are established in the twenty-five local government areas of the state,, the wife of the state Governor and founder 05 Initiative Dame Edith Okowa has inaugurated another sickle cell clinic at the Burutu general hospital, Burutu federal constituency.
Inaugurating the sickle cell clinic, Dame Edith Okowa appreciated God for the privilege to impact lives, stressing that many had lost their loved to sickle cell anemia out of ignorant and lack of proper awareness.
Dame Okowa commended the efforts of the local government chairman for supporting the 05 Initiative in the quest to change lives one person at a time and urged the residents to take ownership of the facility and ensure Maintenance culture..
Also speaking, Dr. Clement Isibor charged the health personnel at the clinic to give adequate attention and care to the patients so as to justify the huge investment of the 05 Initiative in collaboration with the Burutu local government council.
The chairman, Burutu local government area Mr. God knows Angele lauded the efforts of the 05 Initiative at restoring hope to the hopeless in the state and pledged his continuous support for the Okowa administration.
