Delta Central APC leaders pledge Loyalty to Tinubu, Oborevwori, unveil strategy ahead of 2027

Leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta Central Senatorial District of Delta State convened on Sunday at the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun, where they unanimously pledged unwavering loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

The high-level strategic meeting drew senior government officials, party executives, political leaders, and grassroots mobilisers. Discussions centred on strengthening internal cohesion, deepening collaboration across party structures, and preparing for what participants described as a decisive 2027 election cycle.

Moving the motion for the loyalty pledge, which was seconded by Chief Andrew Oru, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Olorogun Festus Keyamo, SAN, applauded President Tinubu’s “remarkable strides” in security and economic stability. He said Nigeria was beginning to experience noticeable improvements in security across various regions due to renewed federal commitment.

Keyamo also praised Governor Oborevwori for what he called “unequalled infrastructural development” across Delta State. He urged party members to remain united as APC congresses approach, warning aspirants that no one would obtain the party’s ticket “from Abuja” without the backing of grassroots leaders. Loyalty, discipline, and respect for party structures, he stressed, are essential for electoral success.

APC State Chairman, Elder Omeni Sobotie, highlighted the ongoing political realignment from PDP to APC in Delta State. He emphasised the need for genuine grassroots engagement and the involvement of respected community elders, expressing confidence that the APC is on track for a resounding victory in 2027.

Chairman of the Delta Central APC, Chief Paulinus Akpeki, cautioned members against factionalism, indiscipline, and parallel loyalties, describing Delta Central as the “political engine room” of the party in the state. He declared that the APC in Delta has “only one leader” in Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, adding that loyalty outside this structure would not be tolerated.

Akpeki announced new measures to strengthen party cohesion, including mandatory monthly senatorial meetings to rotate across the district’s eight LGAs and the formation of a Delta Central APC Caucus Committee responsible for strategic planning, conflict resolution, mobilisation, and performance tracking.

“Our mission is too important and the stakes too high for indiscipline or division,” he said. “Delta Central APC must operate as one family with one structure, one leadership, and one objective: victory in 2027 is non-negotiable.”

Speeches by Senator Ede Dafinone, Hon. Ejiro Waive, NEXIM Bank Executive Director Stella Okotete, Chief Solomon Igrakpata, and Chief Andrew Oru reinforced the call for unity and collective discipline.

Local Government APC Chairmen present also pledged to deliver overwhelming votes for President Tinubu, Governor Oborevwori, and all APC candidates in the 2027 elections.

At the close of the meeting, leaders reaffirmed their resolve to reposition Delta Central APC into a united, disciplined, and formidable force capable of delivering sweeping electoral victories.
