With a total of 292,667 votes garnered at the governorship elections the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared former Senator, Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as winner of the Edo Governor Election and governor-elect.
Okpebholo defeated his closest rival to defeat Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who polled 247,234 to emerge second.
