Ogheye Dimigun a border town to the Atlantic Ocean in Warri North Local Government Area of DELTA will in no distant time become a beehive of commercial activities in the state.
The Commissioner for Works (Rural and Riverine Roads), Mr Solomon Golley, disclose during an inspection visit to the floating market in the community to ascertain the level of work done in the ongoing market project.
Mr Golley started that the importance of the market could not be over emphasised as bulk of fish trade in the riverine area were carried out in and around Ogheye community.
Hon Golley also inspected the ongoing internal road network and the fish processing storage plant, both in the community.
He, thereafter, proceeded to the riverine communities of Ugbogbodun and Odeghele where 1.990km concrete road network linking both communities and extending towards Bateren Community in Warri South West were under construction.
While appreciating the contractor, the MD of Awaritse Nig. Ltd, Dr Godwin Ebosa and his team of engineers for the thoroughness and speedy job done so far, he urged them to speed up the pace of work in order for the projects, particularly the floating market to be ready for commissioning in no distant time.
Present during the visit were the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engineer Fred Edafioghor and a team of Engineers from the ministries of Works and Housing.
