As the Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori continues to unfold the reality of his MORE Agenda, a one-time  State Secretary of the All Progressives Congress in Delta State has been moved to concede that he is a man of great vision, capacity and commitment to the development of the state.

Hon Silas Buowe, a former member of the State House of Assembly representing Isoko South Constituency II, and former aspirant for the chairmanship of the APC in the state was particularly impressed with Gov Oborevwori’s bold move for the construction of flyovers to reshape Warri, Uvwie and environs and his commitment to standard delivery by contracting one of the best construction firms in Nigeria, Julius Berger, to handle the projects.

In an open letter of commendation to the Governor titled: “Heartfelt Gratitude for Your Remarkable Commitment to Infrastructure Development” released on Tuesday, Buowe noted that Oborevwori has not only come prepared but is also a listening Governor whose actions and approach has demonstrated his foresight and commitment to the well-being of the citizens of Delta State.

Buowe’s statement read:

“A day after your inauguration in May this year, I called on you in an open letter widely circulated to avoid the errors of your predecessors in office and urged you  to ensure that major roads and flyover projects in Delta State are awarded to Julius Berger Plc during your tenure as Governor.

“Please, permit me to extend my sincerest gratitude for your preparedness to listen and address the needs of the people.

“The recent news of the award of contracts for three flyover bridges and road expansion in Warri and Effurun to Julius Berger, a renowned construction giant, is a testament to your dedication to enhancing the infrastructure of our dear state.

“I am profoundly delighted and grateful for your decision to entrust the development and construction of these crucial projects to a reputable and experienced company like Julius Berger. By doing so, you have demonstrated your foresight and commitment to the well-being of the citizens of Delta State.

“The construction of these flyover bridges and road expansions will undoubtedly alleviate traffic congestion, improve safety and enhance overall connectivity within our state.

“Furthermore, I commend your visionary approach, recognizing the significance of collaborating with esteemed organizations like Julius Berger, known for their exceptional expertise, quality, and timely delivery. Your choice truly reflects your commitment to ensuring that only the best is offered to the people of Delta State.

“As we eagerly anticipate the completion of these projects, I am confident that Delta State will experience a significant boost in economic growth, as well as an improved quality of life for all residents.

“Once again, I extend my deepest gratitude for your unwavering commitment and leadership in bringing about positive change. Your genuine efforts to listen to the concerns and aspirations of the people will not go unnoticed.

“Your Excellency, thank you for being a listening governor and for making the betterment of Delta State your utmost priority.

“May you continue to receive divine guidance, wisdom, and strength as you steer our state towards a prosperous future. Delta State is indeed fortunate to have you at the helm.”
