The Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, will lead the cast of eminent personalities expected at the public presentation of “Hope and Fulfillment”, a book that chronicles major achievements of Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa as governor of the State.
Oborevwori will be joined at the event by his Edo, Bayelsa, Akwa-Ibom and Osun counterparts.
The book is a product of critical works by renowned media practitioners on Okowa’s eight-year tenure as governor.
The book was edited by Mr Olisa Ifeajika, a former Deputy Editor-in-Chief of News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) and Okowa’s Chief Press Secretary (CPS) and Mr Frank Igwebueze, a former Editor at the defunct Midweek Concord newspaper.
Hope and Fulfillment with Foreword by Prof. Sam Oyovbaire, one-time Minister of Information, will be unveiled on July 26, 2023, at the Orchid Hotel, in Asaba.
The ceremony has Prof. Andy Egwunyenga, Vice Chancellor, Delta State University, Abraka, as chairman, while Alhaji Awa Ibraheem will be the Chief Launcher.
Political leaders, serving and past lawmakers at the national and State levels, including principal party and State functionaries among other dignitaries, are some of the guests expected at the occasion.
