The 1974 set of Ika Grammar School Old Boys will hold a reunion bash today, Saturday, November 4, 2023, to celebrate their 49th year since leaving the esteemed institution that has produced eminent citizens.
A statement from the reunion celebration committee headed by Dr. Emmanuel Obi Melekwe indicated that it will hold at the school compound opening with breakfast at 11.10 a.m.
The activities for the day tagged “IGS ‘74 SET Reunion Programme of events” will have the rendering of the national Anthem and the IGS anthem, followed by a welcome address, keynote address and a Special address by the sets school’s Senior Prefect, Ambassador Vincent Okonofua. Also on the cards are felicitation speeches by the Board of Trustee (BOT) Chairman, and the president, Ika Grammar School Old Boys Association (IGSOBA).
There will be presentation of two papers with the titles: “The making of wills” and “Issues with aging.”
All “74 set of old boys are to come with their spouses.
