Delta State Government has announced plans to set up a rehabilitation centre in the state, as part of measures to address the menace of drug abuse.
The State Commissioner for Health Dr. Mordi Ononye, made this known during the unveiling of a project by Delta State Drug Control Committee, as part of activities to celebrate the 2020 Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
Oghenero Eghweree of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), South-South reports that the Delta State House of Assembly also charged drug law enforcement agencies to step up efforts to reverse the rising cases of drug abuse in the area.
