The Delta State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has mourned the death of Dame Joy Ify Mordi, a member of the Institute, and an active public relations practitioner who passed on after a brief illness on Sunday April 28, 2024.
Mr. Godfrey C. Osakwe, Chairman, NIPR Delta State Chapter in company of some EXCO members on behalf of himself and the Institute, expressed sincere condolences to the Mordi family over the sad loss, and prayed that God Almighty grant eternal rest to the soul of their departed colleague, and grant her family the fortitude to bear the great loss.
Osakwe extolled her virtues and commended the life and time of the deceased in the service of her family and humanity in general.
He urged the bereaved husband to be strong as his wife, their departed colleague, lived an impactful life. “It is not how long one lives that counts but how well,” Osakwe said.
Responding on behalf of the family, Sir Andy Mordi, the bereaved husband, thanked the delegation of NIPR for identifying with the family in the moment of grief.
Other members of the State Executive on the condolence visit to the Mordis in Boji-Boji, Owa, include, the Vice Chairman, Mrs. Florence Nwabuonwu; the Treasurer, Mrs. Gertrude Onyekachukwu-Uteh; and the Assistant Secretary, Mrs. Ese Obote-Ogwu.
