Respite has finally come to Law Faculty graduates of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) as the Body of Benchers has approved their admission into the Nigerian Law School from 2022.
In a meeting, the Body of Benchers gave the approval after many years of agitation from the graduates.
The NOUN without proper approval from authorities responsible for legal education, admitted thousands of student into the Law Faculty of the Distant Learning Institution and graduated the students without proper supervisory role from authorities leading to denial of admission from Law School for the graduates.
While the conditions and the level of admission into the law school is not yet clear, today’s Body of Benchers decision is a major breakthrough for the NOUN graduates hopeful of becoming practicing lawyers.
