Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated the Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, King Joseph Ijawperebo Timiyan, PhD (JP), on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a pillar of unity and progressive leadership.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor commended the monarch’s outstanding leadership qualities, wisdom, and steadfast dedication to the growth of Ogulagha Kingdom and the broader Ijaw nation.
Oborevwori noted that the reign of the royal father has been defined by notable achievements, emphasizing his commitment to preserving cultural heritage while promoting modern governance.
He described King Timiyan as a unifying figure whose leadership continues to inspire peace, stability, and cohesion across communities.
The governor also applauded the monarch’s role as Chairman of the Delta State Ijaw Traditional Rulers Forum, highlighting his ability to balance tradition with forward-thinking leadership.
He further observed that under the monarch’s stewardship, Ogulagha Kingdom has recorded progress in areas such as education advocacy, youth empowerment, and sustainable development.
Oborevwori equally praised the royal father’s strong stance on equitable resource distribution and environmental protection in the Niger Delta.
On behalf of the government and people of Delta State, the governor offered prayers for the monarch’s continued good health, long life, and enduring strength to lead with wisdom and distinction.
