Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has nominated the state’s Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and one of the lawyers that handled the legal cases against the governor, Ekemejuro Ohwovoriole, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and Kenemala Penewou as commissioners.
Information about the nominations came when the Speaker of Delta State House 6f Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor during plenary Tuesday morning called the attention of the legislators to the Governor’s letter with the names of the nominees, with a call on them to expedite action in their screening and approval of the nominees.
The nominations also reflected the portfolios that the Governor allocated to each nominee. While Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza was allotted the portfolio of the Commissioner for Information,
(SAN) will be the State’s Attorney General and commissioner for Information, and Kenemala Penewou will be Commissioner for Local Government and chieftaincy affairs.
After receiving the Governor’s letter on the nominations, the Speaker directed them to submit 25 copies each of their resumes on or before Monday, January 29, 2024 and appear for screening on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.
