As the curtain draws on the well attended and highly impactful yearly Prophetic gathering of Shiloh 2018, the President of the Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo has during one of his teachings at the event made a laughing stock of his enemies who he said know that the Almighty God is the source of his confidence.
Shiloh 2018 with the theme “Dominion,” had in attendance at the Canaanland headquarters of the church more than 7,000 delegates from more than 50 countries, and numerous viewing across the world, with Lagos State alone having 105 locations.
Taking his turn at the morning session’s Hour of Visitation Friday, 7/12/2018, and speaking on the topic: “Unveiling the Dominion Power of Dedication,” Dr. Oyedepo derided his critics, saying that his enemies know the source of his confidence.
He said: “You know where my confidence is? All my enemies know. My confidence is in God and my enemies know this. God is breathing in me. Touch this man, you will see hell.
” I love the people of my country. I love development. There is no political position that you will give me that I will take till I die. Anybody who truly loves God loves people.”
He criticised those in government for their hypocrisy, saying: “And yet many are carting billions away, and they are the ones catching people, so nobody can catch them.”
For the avoidance of doubt, he said ” I am not a philanthropist, I am a kingdom promoter,” adding that anyone who says he loves God without proofs to show is fake. ”
Taking his anchor from Matthew 25:40-46, the Bishop said: “Prove your love for God by your love for souls, by your giving, and by your giving for the promotion of His kingdom.”
And unveiling the dominion power of dedication, he said every child of God is a spiritual seed, and its actual value is a function of dedication to God.
In the context of the kingdom of God, Papa, as Bishop Oyedepo is is fondly called by Winners said dedication is a deadly commitment to God and the advancement of His kingdom on earth. “Those who are truly sold out today for God and the advancement of His kingdom will become celebrities tomorrow”, he stated, adding: “When your life becomes a true seed dedicated to God, the wicked will see it and knash their teeth, but no devil will touch you.”
Pointing out that love for God without faith is fake, Papa then listed pointers that will prove that one loves God.
If you love God, he said, you will prove it by loving lost souls. “Your passion for souls is a three fold proof of your love for God.
If you love God you will love His word. Psalm 119: 97 says: “Oh how I love thy law! It is my meditation all day.”
If you love God you will love His House. Luke 14:23 “And the Lord said unto the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”
If you love God, you will love people. 1john 4:20-21 says: “If a man say, “I love God,” and hateth his brother, he is a liar. For he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love god whom he hath not seen?
21 “And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loveth God love his brother also.”
Bishop Oyedepo pointed out also that every true lover of God is a tireless giver.
