The Head of Environment of the DSCTDA Mr Isaac Nwoso, told the court that the offenders were arrested while transacting their private businesses when they should be engaged in the monthly sanitation exercise.

Isaac said that the offenders violated the state’s Environmental sanitation laws, and urged the court to sanction them accordingly, to serve as deterrent to others.

Mr Isaac who represented the Director General of DSCTDA, Chief Patrick Ukah, said that government had intensified monitoring to ensure that residents improved their environmental hygiene.
He further urged members of the public to always keep their environment clean to ensure a safe Delta State.
