St. Columba’s Old Boys to hold elective Convention in Agbor ahead of Easter 2026

AGBOR, Delta State – As Christians worldwide prepare to celebrate Easter in the first weekend of April 2026, the Old Boys Association of St. Columba’s/Gbenoba Grammar School will converge on the commercial town of Agbor for their annual convention.

According to a press release signed by the National President, Barrister S. O. A. Gbenoba, and the National Public Relations Officer, Mr. Iwemdi Nwaham, the two-day event is scheduled for Friday, April 3, and Saturday, April 4, 2026.

Friday, April 3 – Bonfire Night

The festivities kick off at 7 p.m. with the traditional Bonfire Night. Old Boys from across the globe will gather around a roaring bonfire, from which roast meat, fish, and yams emerge to satisfy graduates spanning the classes of 1969 to 2025. A generous supply of palm wine and bottled drinks will accompany the feast.

Saturday, April 4 – Convention & Elections

The main convention takes place on Saturday. This year’s gathering is an elective convention, with the election of new national executives to steer the association for the next three years as the highlight of the event.
