Team Ibori for Okowa 2019 decorates Iyede as Patron

Team Ibori for Okowa 2019 has decorated Mr. Innocent Iyede, an Orogun-born international business man, as it’s Patron.
The award was presented on behalf of the group by Olorogun Goddy Ighoavwota to Mr. Iyede for his contributions to the development of his community and empowerment of youths in the area.
The group noted that the presence of Mr. Iyede in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Orogun has also altered the interface between people oriented leadership and self-serving leadership.
They disclosed that Mr. Iyede is working in line with the aims and objectives of the group, and this has paid off in the recent defection of opposition members into the Orogun PDP family with more to come as he progresses in his reconciliation mission.
Recently, the group revealed, Mr. Iyede undertook the rehabilitation of failed portion of the short cut en-route of Ughelli-Agbarha-Orogun- Abraka with sectional sand filling, construction of culvert and concrete pavement still ongoing.
Responding, the recipient expressed profound gratitude to members of Team Ibori for Okowa 2019 for identifying his silent contributions and deeming him worthy of such a noble award, promising to do his best to thicken the support of the people of Orogun for the re-election of the state Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, and PDP success in the 2019 general election.
Mr. Iyede, who noted that the former Governor of the state, Chief James Ibori, is PDP personified, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa a PDP project in progress, stated that Delta State has fared well under Governor Okowa despite the economic challenges.
He called on his Orogun brothers and sisters in the diaspora to come home and join hands in developing Orogun communities, saying, government alone cannot do it.
Dignitaries present at the award ceremony include the State Coordinator of the group, Hon. Edmond Guanah, Hon. Chief Dora Eromafuru, Chief Adanse Felix and Hon. Efekemor Onoriode, Special Assistant to the Governor on Youths Mobilization, among others.
In appreciation of the group’s efforts in garnering support for Dr. Okowa and PDP, Mr. Iyede donated four roll-up banners and a dual purpose photo/video camera to the group.
