Delta State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Chief Patrick Ukah has been applauded for his outstanding contributions towards the development of Okpanam, particularly for political and economic empowerment and support to the people of the community at all times.
An aide to the Commissioner on Social Media, Comrade Lucky Okolo, who made the commendation in Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area during his child dedication of little Onyefuolisaanya, said that Chief Ukah had continued to touch several lives in the community and described him as a go-getter with sterling qualities.
Comrade Okolo stated that children were blessings from God hence he decided to dedicate the child to God, adding that he would bring her up in accordance with God’s expectations and satisfaction of man.
While recalling that his late father, Chief Stephen Okolo impacted positively on his life by exposing him to ideas, education and things that would enable him actualised his dreams in life, Comrade Okolo enjoined those still waiting for the fruits of the womb to be patient and build their trust in God.
Earlier in his remarks, Chief Sunday Nwanze from Ogbeasadi Quarters, Okpanam who noted that the arrival of every child would always usher in more blessings into any family and urged the parents to desist from things that could impact negatively on their children just as he advised them to bring their children in the fear of God.
Chief Nwanze, however, lauded Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for the appointment of Chief Patrick Ukah as the State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education and for driving numerous developmental projects to Okpanam and other parts of the state.
Speaking in an interview with newsmen, the Chairman of Ogbeasadi Youths, Comrade Cyril Okolo and Sir John Okolo underscored the importance of dedicating children to God and emphasized the need sustain the existing peace and unity in the family.
The duo pledged to sustain the legacies and philosophies of their father, late Stephen Okolo, adding that the Basic and Secondary Education Commissioner’s aide was a resourceful, humble and truthful person.
