Delta State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Patrick Ukah, has again lauded Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for the multifaceted and strategic approach towards enhancing the socio-economic growth and development of Okpanam community.
Mr. Ukah, made the commendation at Amachai Quarters of Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area of the state, during a reception organised by his Special Assistant, Felix Ideh, for the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) faithful and youth in Amachai ahead of the forthcoming local government election.
The Basic and Secondary Education Commissioner, who restated that besides several roads and the establishment of Oruchi Comprehensive Secondary School in Amachai, as well as the empowerment initiative of the government which the people of Okpanam community had continued to benefit from, the state government, under the leadership of Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, had approved the construction of the road linking Akwukwu-Igbo from Okpanam.
He described his Special Assistant, Felix Ideh, as a humble individual with the needed and uncommon capacity for effective service delivery and urged the people to come out in their large numbers to vote for all PDP candidates in the local government election.
In his remarks, the convener of the event, Felix Ideh, said that the initiative was geared towards interacting with his people and sensitise them on the need to reciprocate Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa’s unprecedented achievements in Okpanam by voting overwhelmingly for PDP in the March 6 local government election.
Mr. Ideh stated that the community had been transformed beyond expectations by the Okowa administration through road network, appointment of Okpanam indigenes into his government and youth empowerment.
Others who spoke including Amachai PDP Cell Chairman, Mr. Isitua Ogugua, the women leader of Amachai PDP Cell, Mrs. Esther Osamor, and Lady Patricia Ideh, commended Mr. Ukah for selecting one of their own, Felix Ideh, to work with him as his Special Assistant, adding that Amachai people would always identify with the PDP, just as they pledged their unalloyed support for the Okowa administration.
