2019: Nwaoboshi wins Delta North senatorial primary election, beats Ned Nwoko, Paul Oseji

Senator Peter Nwaoboshi this evening, Tuesday, 2/10/2018, emerged as the candidate to fly the flag of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Delta North at a keenly contested senatorial party primary held at the Cenotaph, Asaba, Delta State.
Nwaoboshi polled a total of 506 votes to beat his closest and arch rival, Prince Ned Nwoko, a former member of the House of Representatives who received 453 votes. Mr. Paul Oseji took the rear with 206 votes.
There were a total of 1,214 accredited delegates, while a total of 1,194 votes were cast with 19 void votes.
Chief (Mrs) Uzo Nwandu, the PDP returning officer declared Senator Nwaoboshi the winner of the senatorial primary election and returned as the PDP Delta North candidate for the 2019 general elections.
