Delta NGOs Applaud Oborevwori’s Appointments to Local Content, Signage Agencies

The Forum of Delta State Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) has commended Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, for appointing new heads to the Delta State Local Content Agency and the Delta State Structure for Signage and Advertisement Agency.

In a statement, the Forum congratulated Kakor Stanley Ese on his appointment as Director-General of the Local Content Agency and Okoh Sebastine as Managing Director of the Signage and Advertisement Agency.

The civil society group described the appointments as timely and strategic, noting that they reflect the governor’s commitment to strengthening institutions, promoting transparency, and driving economic development in Delta State.

According to the Forum, the Local Content Agency is vital to ensuring that indigenes and local businesses benefit from investments and development projects, while the Signage and Advertisement Agency plays a key role in urban regulation, revenue generation, and improving the aesthetics of cities and communities.

Expressing confidence in the appointees, the Forum said both men are expected to bring professionalism, innovation, and integrity to their offices, with positive impacts on service delivery, opportunities for local entrepreneurs, and internally generated revenue.

The statement, signed by Okezi Odugala, Coordinator, and Ekenem Omodior, Secretary, reaffirmed the Forum’s readiness to collaborate with the agencies to promote accountability, community participation, and inclusive grassroots development.

The Forum again praised Governor Oborevwori for what it described as visionary leadership and appointments that inspire confidence among civil society stakeholders.
