Asaba, Delta State – Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended warm birthday greetings to Hon. Daniel Mayuku, Chairman of the Delta State Security Trust Fund, commemorating his 60th birthday with a stirring tribute to the elder statesman’s decades of service across law, legislature, and community development.
In an official statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Governor Oborevwori lauded Mayuku as a man of “prodigious intellect,” whose multifaceted career has left an indelible mark on the state’s governance and social fabric.
- “His journey through legal practice, lawmaking, and public administration reflects a remarkable capacity, versatility, and an unwavering commitment to the advancement of Delta State,” the Governor said. He particularly highlighted Mayuku’s efforts in fostering unity, noting his consistent work in building bridges across ethnic and tribal divides.
The Governor recounted Mayuku’s significant tenure as Executive Director of Projects at the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), where he was instrumental in executing development projects in oil-producing communities. He also recalled the celebrant’s distinguished stint as a lawmaker representing Warri South-West Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, where he chaired key committees including Information, Finance and Appropriation, and Education.
Oborevwori commended Mayuku for his “years of dedicated service” and his profound contributions to legislative development, public administration, and the broader advancement of society.
Concluding his message, the Governor offered prayers for the former legislator’s continued well-being, asking God to grant him greater wisdom, strength, and health to enable him to make even more significant contributions to the peace, security, and development of Delta State and Nigeria at large.
