A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Delta State, Chief Ndudi Elumelu has called on the people of Aniocha /Oshimili Federal Constituency in the State to continue to work assiduously towards voting all candidates of PDP in a landslide victory in the forthcoming local Government elections in Delta State.

He said the party has continued to demonstrate responsibility, fairness, equity and maturity in the State, as epitomized by the Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, adding that the Governor as the leader of the party in Delta State has, with all amount of humility, carried every segment of the state along in the dogged implementation of his SMART Agenda, which he noted has brought prosperity to the people of the State.

Aswering questions, he pointed out that Delta State has turned into a big construction site courtesy of the PDP -led Government , adding that it is aimed towards taking Delta State to that level where it will favourably compete with other states in Nigerian, in terms of infrastructural development. “PDP being a party structured for the people of Nigeria is the Party that has continued to show concern and is sensitive to the plight of the people,” Elumelu declared.

He stressed that the People of Aniocha/Oshimili will ensure that every single Unit, ward and the four local government areas within the constituency are delivered in total to the PDP, saying that no other party should have a share of the votes from the constituency.

“With the re-structuring of the Party at the Federal level, we are more than ever convinced that PDP will bounce back fully at the Federal in 2019.

“The convention Planning Committee being handled by my able Governor, His Excellency Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa is doing everything possible to ensure a credible and successful elective convention where credible and acceptable leaders of the party will be elected,

“So my appeal is that my good people of Aniocha North, Aniocha South, Oshimili North and Osimili South should please continue to support the Governor and the Party by coming out in their large numbers with their voters cards on the 6th of January 2018 to vote massively for the PDP in the Local Government election,” Elumelu stated.

Rt. Hon. Elumelu who was a former member of the Federal House of Representative in Abuja, representing Aniocha /Oshimili Federal Constituency said that the Local Government election in the State will again go a long way in proving that Delta State as a whole remains a stronghold of the PDP.

On the ongoing agitation of the people of his constituency for him to go back to the Federal House of Representative as their representative in 2019, the Charismatic Politician said that he is not unaware of the request and agitation of his people, but was quick to state that as a grounded politician, he understands that every aspect of politicking has a phase.

The grassroots politician disclosed that at the moment he is still consulting with the leadership of the Party and other segments in the constituency and the State, affirming that in no distant time, he will make his position known, even as he assured that his position on the matter will as usual be in the best interest of the people.

Rt. Hon. Elumelu, who is a member of the PDP National Convention Planning Committee, is in Abuja with other members of the committee, arranging for a fair, credible and transparent elective convention for the Party.
