Asaba set to host Rangers, Pillars’ soccer thriller in Stephen Keshi Stadium

Wednesday, October 24, 2018 soccer encounter between Rangers International of Enugu and Kano Pillars promises to be a thriller event in Asaba.

All is now set for the 2018 AITEO Football Finals that will hold inside the sparkling Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.
A statement signed in Asaba today (22/10/2018) by the Vice Chairman of the Local Organising Committee for the competition, Ogbueshi Patrick Ukah, disclosed that the match will kick off by 4.30pm.
Ukah, who is also the Delta State Commissioner for Information, stated that there will be a curtain raiser between Comprehensive Secondary School, Ogwashi Uku, and West End Mixed Secondary School, Asaba by 2.30pm and entertainment/musical performance before the kickoff. Besides, that there will be another performance at half time, while medals will be presented to the winners after the encounter.

To round off the activities of the day, there will be fireworks and a grand musical performance.
High profile artist, Patoranking, will lead other notable musicians to add colour to the event.

Meanwhile, accommodation arrangements have been concluded for football officials who will be in Asaba for the match.
The officials are Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Executives, including past Executives, State Football Association (FA) Chairmen, State FA Secretaries and NFF Secretaries.

The tickets for the encounter are being sold at the Delta State Sports Commission headquarters, Asaba, Ministry of Information headquarters, Asaba, Delta Broadcasting Service (DBS), Asaba, Cartage Cinema, Asaba, Metagon Pharmacy, Ibusa junction, Asaba, Rain Oil Filling Stations in Asaba, among other places at N2,000.00 for VIP and N1,000.00 popular side.

Fans have been advised to enter the stadium through the appropriate gates as indicated in their tickets.
