The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will begin its campaign for the 2027 general elections in Oleh, headquarters of Isoko South Local Government Area, on November 5.
The Director-General of the Delta APC Campaign Council, Senator James Manager, disclosed this on Tuesday in Asaba during an interactive meeting with members of the campaign council, directors, party candidates, local government council chairmen, party chairmen and local government campaign coordinators.
Manager said the decision to start the campaign in Isoko Nation was deliberate. He added that it would end in Okpe Local Government Area, at a date and venue yet to be announced.
He urged candidates to intensify their preparations, stressing that the limited time available required them to be proactive and committed to the party’s campaign activities.
Manager also appealed to candidates to promote the interests of all APC flag bearers rather than focus solely on their individual ambitions. He said the party’s success would depend on the ability of candidates and supporters to work together to secure victory for President Bola Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and other APC candidates in 2027.
“Whatever you are doing, please do it for everybody. As a candidate, whatever you are doing, do it for Mr President, do it for the governor and do it for the entire APC family,” he said.

He urged candidates to use their platforms, including social media, to publicise the party’s programmes and achievements, and warned them against being distracted by opposition propaganda.
According to Manager, the meeting was convened to address questions and concerns that emerged after the inauguration of the campaign council, and to let party leaders exchange views with candidates and grassroots coordinators. He said it was one of a series of meetings meant to strengthen coordination and ensure the campaign structure functions effectively at all levels.
He directed local government campaign committees to submit their membership lists by Wednesday, saying the council needed to know their composition to facilitate planning and coordination.
The former senator stressed the importance of reaching every community and ward, and urged local organisers to identify capable representatives who could mobilise grassroots support. He said the campaign would require the active participation of party members across the state, and that candidates must take their responsibilities seriously and begin preparations without delay.
Earlier, the state chairman of the APC, Chief Solomon Arenyeka, described the meeting as an important step towards the commencement of the party’s campaign. He acknowledged the efforts of the campaign council leadership in putting the necessary structures in place and urged party stakeholders to work together to achieve the APC’s electoral objectives.
