Doris Uboh to Ika Federal constituents: Cooperate with INEC, security agencies, 2023 will not be business as usual

The 2023 APC candidate for Ika Federal Constituency Delta State, Hon (Engr) Doris Uboh has requested all Ika North East and Ika South Constituency indigenes to cooperate with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in its mop up registration execcise, which has since begun.
She admonishes Ika South indigenes at home and abroad, who are yet to be captured in the ongoing voters registration or secure their permanant voters cards, to avail themselves this opportunity and come out enmass to join the INEC registration train as it goes from Ward to Ward.
In similar manner, Ika North East indigenes are also urged to keep in touch with the electoral body and representatives of the campaign council in order to get the schedule for registration around the wards of the  Constituency.
For it’s diligence, Hon Uboh appreciates INEC for being part of the innovations aimed at ensuring that more indigenes of Ika Federal Constituency are captured in the national voters register and therefore become qualified to cast their votes, upon the collection of Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs).
The former member of the House of Representatives further commends INEC for the creation of more polling units in the Federal Constituency, and urges the body to effectively disseminate information and details of the polling units created, for proper identification by voters.
She also underscored the need for INEC to maintain its neutrality as the electoral umpire, and challenges them to resist and expose moves (which have been discovered) by the PDP Leadership in Ika Federal Constituency and Delta State to hijack, subvert and corrupt it.
Hon (Engr) Doris Uboh therefore calls on Ika Federal Constituents to resist moves by the PDP to force a rejected mandate on their necks, and charges them to be vigilant during the registration exercise against the cunning, divisive and diversionary moves by the failed incumbent representative structure, aimed at keeping the Federal Constituency in mediocrity.
Therefore, Hon Uboh advised the entire Ika nation to make the 2023 election a performance based discussion and decision, because the major contenders are not new to the job of representation.
She urged voters in Ika Federal Constituency to begin to compare and contrast between the realities on ground from the past 12 years of representation and what has accrued to the Federal Constituency through the office of the member Representing Ika Federal Constituency, House of Representatives.
She calls on everyone to be bold and not nurse any fear, but remain law abiding citizens, carry out their electoral and party engagements within the ambit of the law, and cooperate with security agencies at all times, by reporting suspicious moves and security threats promptly.
Hon. Doris Uboh.
Hon. Uboh then thanked security agencies, paramilitary formations and community policing structures in Ika Federal Constituency for the peace and security enjoyed, and charges them to resist moves to corrupt and buy them over, while she also reminds them of their pledge to protect lives and properties, as well as give fair and equal opportunities to all who come to seek redress, lodge complaints or request measures for improved security, irrespective of political inclinations.
She said: ” 2023 will not be business as usual because. The APC is determined to deliver the dividends of democracy and make everyone know that a new Ika Federal Constituency is possible”.
