Mr. Fidel Onwodi.
Dr. Onoye told banneronlinenews.com that the Emeka Nwaobi Free Medical/Surgical Outreach is a commendable initiative that attests to the large heartedness and good conscience of the legislator and his partners, the Anioma Medical Professionals Forum Incorporated.
Mr. Onwodi who described Nwaobi’s initiative as a good gesture and commendable effort, said the law maker has redefined what good representation of the people actually means. “It is having the people and their welfare and wellbeing at heart, caring and ensuring that the dividends of democracy get to them. It is providing selfless service to the people; it is bringing government and governance down to the people. Emeka Nwaobi has exemplified this and proven that he is the good representative of the people of Aniocha North in the Delta State House of Assembly,” Onwodi said, adding: “What he has done with the free medical outreach is good gesture, commendable effort.”
High Chief Mafiana, a chief in Onicha-Ugbo said of the free medical outreach: “It is quite commendable; it is encouraging. It is a very good social service. He is an intellectual, a young man who has the welfare of the people at heart.”
The Obi of Onicha-Ugbo, Agbogidi Obi Chukwumalieze described the medical outreach as a wonderful programme that is worth all the investment put into it. The Obi who was the first to be examined for his BP, said: “ Even though my BP is alright, I am going to continue treatment with them. I appreciate them. May God continue to bless them. Okowa will return for second term. Definitely.”
Chief Ada Kachikwu said: “It is a wonderful outreach. He (Emeka Nwaobi) has been a wonderful representative of the people. Other politicians should emulate him.
“My message to the people of Aniocha is that they should insist that their representatives should provide infrastructure, not necessarily collecting money from them but asking their representatives to provide very tangible things that will uplift the lives of the people.”
For the former Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government Council, Chief Jaunty Okwudi, the medical outreach is a fantastic programme. He said: “ Apart from the humanitarian aspect, it entails a lot of cost implications. And it is only one who has the peoples love at heart that can delve into it.
“With more than 500 people needing medical attention, and waiting to be attended to, it shows that Nwaobi has the people’s welfare at heart. That is why he deserves to be encouraged and be returned.”
