Chief James Onanefe Ibori has described the death of Mrs. Omatsola Williams as a big blow to Delta State. He said in a press statement that Mrs. Williams, who was a founding member of the Peoples Democrartic Party (PDP), served in various capacities in several administrations in Delta state, and was a repository of the state’s contemporary history.

During Ibori’s 1999 -2007 administration of Delta state, Mrs. Williams served first as a member of the Delta State Urban Water Board from 1999 to 2003; and second as member, Governing Council, College of Education, Warri, 2003–2006. Ibori said Mrs Williams was trustworthy, very focused and energetic and served her state worthily and with passion.

Ibori sent his condolence to Mrs. Omatsola William’s immediate family, the state Governor, His Excellency Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa and the good people of Delta state, on this great loss. He prayed that the Almighty God would also grant the soul of Mrs. Williams, who was a Reverend in the Aladura Church of God, eternal rest.
