Kwankwaso draws battle line, tells Ganduje: You’re a betrayer, I’ll retire you, collaborators from politics in 2019

Former governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has taken his successor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, to the cleaners.
Describing Ganduje as an ingrate and a betrayer, Kwankwaso, a former Defence Minister, said he was determined to ensure that Ganduje, who was his deputy when he was governor, does not get a second term.
The leader of the Kwankwassiya Movement in Kano, who represents Kano Central Senatorial District in the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly, declared that Ganduje and anybody supporting him would be retired from politics in 2019.
Kwankwaso, in an audio voice message aired on Express FM, a private radio station in Kano, insisted that he had already made up his mind on Ganduje “and nobody can change it”.
“The level of betrayal meted to me by Ganduje is enough yardsticks to stage a comeback into Kano politics and unseat him from the Government House. I will also deal and retire anyone from politics who has any link to Ganduje from any quarters within the country, even if that person is in Abuja.
“Go and write it down. I will retire this betrayer and his collaborators from active politics in a simple arithmetic of 1 + 1 which you all know the answer”.
Kwankwaso handed over to Ganduje in 2015 and because of the latter’s determination to wrest political power from him, they have become sworn political enemies since then.
