NDC best platform to reset Delta, declares Ken Peller, unveils ‘Ken-ethically Obidient’ vision

Asaba – A governorship aspirant under the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Ken Peller, has declared that the party offers the clearest pathway to resetting governance in Delta State, as he formally presented his vision of “Righteousness, Harmony, and Prosperity” at the party’s first Delta State Congress.

Speaking on Monday, May 4, 2026, at the Orchid Hotel, DBS Road, Asaba, Peller revealed that he had quietly joined the NDC about six weeks ago after leaving the African Democratic Congress (ADC), having concluded that his former platform was “a journey to nowhere.”

“I deliberately did not make noise about it,” Peller told delegates. “I chose instead to observe, to listen, and to understand. And what I have seen confirms one thing: this is a party with clarity of purpose. This is a party that understands service is not a slogan, it is a duty.”

Peller opened his address by commending the NDC’s National Leader, Senator Seriake Dickson, for building a credible alternative for sincere public servants. He also hailed the recent entry of former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi into the NDC, describing it as a major realignment of values.

“This is not just a political event,” Peller said. “It is a signal. It is a realignment of values and purpose. It is a renewed hope for Nigerians who believe that leadership can be different.”

The aspirant argued that vision without a viable structure is insufficient, insisting that the NDC has now become the vehicle to drive genuine change in Delta State.

“We are not here to continue politics as usual. We are here to reset the system,” he said, contrasting leadership without accountability with leadership rooted in integrity, division with unity, and poverty with shared prosperity.

Calling on party members to look beyond positions and focus on purpose, Peller urged Deltans to embrace what he termed a “new coalition of values, competence, and courage.”

He closed his address with a slogan that drew applause from the audience: “Together, let us make Delta State Ken-ethically Obidient. Together, let us build a Delta that works for all.”

The Delta State Congress of the NDC continues with deliberations on the party’s structure and aspirants’ screening ahead of the governorship primaries.
